Meet Antonella
Mastering the Art of the Artisanal TableBorn and raised in Kenya, with Venetian roots, I grew up in a home where food was always at the centre of life. My mother loved to cook, and our house was constantly filled with friends, family, laughter, and generous meals. Sunday lunches at my great aunt’s home in Nairobi became a tradition I’ll never forget…..long tables, wonderful food, good wine and laughter with twenty or more people gathered together. Those moments shaped my love and understanding of food from a very young age.
Although I did not train formally, food has always been part of who I am. After moving to London, I worked as a chef in two restaurants, Teca in Mayfair and Floriana in Knightsbridge. During my time there, Floriana was awarded a Michelin star, which gave me a deeper appreciation for quality ingredients, flavour, and the craft of cooking.
Over the years, I began creating my own fresh pasta, sauces, and catering dishes, selling them at markets and to private clients. Eventually, life brought me back to Kenya, where my love of theatre led me to meet my business partner, my friend, producer and director, Stuart Nash. Together, we decided to build something creative and exciting … a company focused on beautifully made flavoured butters, cream cheeses, and, in time, fresh soups, sauces, and handmade pasta.
Our aim is to bring something fresh, flavourful, and a little different to Nairobi’s food scene, combining comfort, creativity, and quality ingredients with a love of sharing good food with others. We are very excited for what lies ahead.
Buon appetito!
